 Dooku was a Jedi Master who fell to the dark side of the  Force, becoming the Dark Lord of the Sith. Born on the plant  Serenno, he was the heir to wealth and the noble title of  Count.  He was taken by the Jedi Order as a child and  became Thame Cerulian’s apprentice. Once a Jedi, he  trained  Qui-Gon Jinn and Komari Vosa. Dooku was a  respected  instructor and one of the best swordsmen in the  Galaxy, only  in equal terms with Yoda and Mace Windu.
 Dooku spent seventy years as a respected Jedi. However,  the  disastrous battle on Galidraan shook his faith on the  Galactic  Republic. He fell under the influence of Senator   Palpatine de  Naboo, and left the Jedi Order. After learning  that  Senator Palpatine  was a Dark Lord himself, Dooku   turned to the  dark side and became Darth Tyranus.
